It’s all very true, for those of us who know a trade or a skill that can enable them to reach out into the wonderful world of being your own boss, it’s amazing, it’s wonderful and scary as all hell at times … and yet, we take the step …

For me and like many others I’m sure the ability to produce a product or service is all we know how to do with any certainty, after all we’ve been doing it for some else for years and this time it’s about doing it for me! and one way or another we work hard, network, grow and become successful but there is one thing that for many of us is like a dark foggy room or worry … TAX 🙁 We still have to pay it and national insurance and for once we ourselves have to take this on and usually we have obsoletely no idea at all but we know we must do it, so very important.

Right from the start of my solo career I networked with BNI and met some amazing people, this was back in 2007 ish time, a while ago and one of the first people I met was Graham Carson of Inca Accounting and as I recall Graham was instrumental in the start of my business, not pushing me tax wise but offering all the other advice I needed right at that very important time.
